Virtual Exhibition

THE BOX was presented as a Virtual Exhibition, streamed live on YouTube. The event focused on 25 photographs taken during a midnight walk through Rimini, Italy, in July 2017, the hometown of the great filmmaker Federico Fellini. What began as a moment of attention toward an ordinary object became a sentimental visual story, carrying the trace of someone else’s life and memory.
The video presentation combined the full series with original music composed specifically for the project, alongside 3D scenes created in Blender and After Effects. Following the screening, viewers were invited to join an online discussion via Zoom, creating a shared space for conversation around the work despite the distance.
Unlike the previous Virtual Exhibition events, THE BOX invited the audience to take part not only as viewers, but also as storytellers. Before the event, people were invited to share personal or found stories about love through the comment section on the website. These stories could come from real life, books, songs, films, or any other source, opening a space for different, familiar, unknown, and unexpected faces of love.
As part of the event, several participants who shared a story took part in a giveaway. Three people were selected randomly during the live stream to receive a personal letter with a postcard from the series and a handwritten note, while one of them also received a one-hour photo session in Sofia.
